Looking through my old Google+ account the other day I found these pics of the first crochet blanket I ever made. I recently lost a whole bunch of photos from an iCloud glitch so I’m super happy I found these! I thought they really were lost for good. Yay for randomly uploading things to the internet!
I had intended to keep it for myself but instead it got gifted as a baby gift to a family friend. Two years later it’s still in near constant use on their couch. Yay! It is super rewarding to know that something I made is really being appreciated in it’s new home.
This is from a free pattern from Happy In Red and is a slight variation on the traditional granny stripe. I love how to the rows of colour really pop out like diamonds between the rows of white.
Patterns: Diamond Stitch Crochet Blanket by Happy in Red.
Yarn: Eurosavers Chunky
Notes: I alternated 2 rows of white with one of colour to make the diamonds really pop.
